I wanted to report to all my racing enthusiasts that the announcement has been made: Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta will dual each other in the match race of the decade in the 2010 Apple Blossom at Oaklawn, on Friday April 9th. This long awaited meeting happened as the track announced they would raise the purse to 5 million if both Rachel and Zenyatta’s owners agreed to race their prized fillies. The ok was given, and the purse stands.
